The Role

    As the Stock Plan Services Technology Engineering Leader Head of SPS Information Delivery, you blend deep stock plan domain expertise with strong experience in data design, data architecture, data migration and client-facing information delivery. You are deeply committed to delivering value for corporate clients by advancing the SPS data strategy and enabling trusted access to plan, participant, financial and operational data through reporting, APIs and data extracts.

    The Stock Plan Services business provides technology recordkeeping, digital experiences, reporting, data integration and outsourcing solutions for companies in the US and UK including full value awards, stock options and stock appreciation rights, employee stock purchase plans and pre-Initial Public Offering (IPO). Information Delivery is central to this value proposition, giving plan sponsors timely, accurate and usable data to manage their plans, meet financial and regulatory needs, integrate with their broader ecosystem and make informed decisions.

    You will partner with other Fidelity leaders to establish the standards for data design, data movement, reporting and information delivery across SPS Modernization. You will influence strategic decisions, solution development and work priorities based on your expertise in stock plan recordkeeping, data platforms, integration patterns and client data needs. You will lead a group of technology leaders and associates responsible for delivering modern reporting, operational data, APIs, extracts and migration capabilities that support the modernization program and improve the client experience. You actively bring new ideas, approaches and insights to improve delivery, strengthen data quality, reduce legacy complexity and develop new skills and capabilities in your area.

    • Ensuring technology area talent composition aligns with SPS Modernization priorities, including data engineering, reporting, data architecture, data migration, API delivery, quality engineering and workforce planning vital to deliver value for customers and the business
    • Supporting, mentoring, developing and enabling technology leaders and associates to deliver increased value through modern data platforms, reusable information delivery patterns and strong engineering practices
    • Translating SPS Modernization, data strategy and enterprise data initiatives into clear execution plans, architectural decisions and measurable outcomes for clients, associates and internal consumers
    • Proactively partnering with Business, Product, Operations and Technology leaders to:
    • Lead execution of the SPS data strategy as a key technical leader in the Stock Plan Recordkeeping modernization program.
    • Influence strategic decisions and priorities related to data architecture, operational data stores, enterprise analytics platforms, integrated read-only data, reporting, extracts and APIs while removing impediments to delivering value
    • Measure performance through established objectives and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), including data quality, timeliness, adoption, resiliency, delivery predictability and client value realized through reporting, APIs and extracts
    • Support technology leaders to optimize engineering talent while defining learning opportunities connected to data design, migration, information delivery, domain modeling and modern integration patterns
    • Reinforce consistency in data standards, architecture patterns, controls, lineage, operational readiness and product alignment across technology and product teams, and with similar enterprise groups
    • Actively share insights, knowledge, industry practices and developments in data architecture, information delivery, financial services data governance and stock plan servicing across the organization
    • Provide leadership support to Stock Plan Services and ensure stability, resiliency, security and operational excellence across information delivery applications, data pipelines, reporting platforms and integration services


     

    The Expertise and Skills You Bring

    • 15 years leading technology teams with preferably, a deep background in Stock Plans and a strong blend of recordkeeping, data, reporting, operations, brokerage, financial accounting and regulatory experience
    • Senior level experience leading, coaching, mentoring and developing people and teams responsible for complex data, platform, reporting or integration capabilities
    • Experience identifying and acquiring strategic talent needs; and strategic resource planning and talent allocation across large, matrixed organizations and multi-year modernization programs
    • Demonstrated expertise in data design, logical and physical data modeling, data architecture, data quality, data lineage, data controls and data governance in a regulated enterprise environment
    • Experience leading data migration, data synchronization, data replication, transformation, validation and reconciliation efforts across legacy and modern platforms
    • Strong understanding of stock plan administration data, including plan, participant, grant, vesting, distribution, termination, taxation, financial accounting and regulatory reporting concepts
    • Agile leadership experience with a proven ability to lead through ambiguity, sequence complex work, manage dependencies and deliver outcomes across multiple product and technology teams
    • You have good communication, interpersonal and relationship building skills with which you influence decisions and engage across Fidelity and at all levels of the organization
    • You have a continuous improvement approach and encourage and enable an agile way of working
    • You proactively develop and share your knowledge, expertise and perspectives and build the same expectation across your chapters and throughout our multi-functional environment
    • You are intellectually curious and model an environment of continuous learning, mentoring and coaching
    • You take a data-focused approach to decision making and use metrics, controls and evidence to guide day-to-day leadership, strategic tradeoff analyses and modernization sequencing


     

    The Team

    You will work in a matrixed model through partnership with technology leaders, product leaders, architects, data governance partners, implementation teams and service teams aligned to Stock Plan Services. This role is central to SPS Modernization and will help execute the data strategy required to move from legacy recordkeeping toward modern, trusted and scalable information delivery. By demonstrating and promoting Fidelity and agile leadership behaviors, you will help deliver timely, accurate and actionable data to corporate clients through reporting, APIs and extracts while sustaining and evolving our innovative agile culture.

    Fidelity’s Onsite Working Model
    Fidelity is transitioning to a full-time onsite working model through a phased rollout across regions and roles. Currently, some roles and locations require 100% onsite presence, while others require less. Onsite expectations are likely to evolve as the rollout continues. This transition does not apply to fully remote roles.
