Job Description
 

This role is expected to lead and coordinate the US omnichannel orchestration capabilities for Next-Best Experience (NBE) for patients and Next-Best Action (NBA) for health care providers.

Key Responsibilities:


Omnichannel orchestration strategy & roadmap

  • Define and develop the US omnichannel orchestration vison, roadmap, and growth opportunities aligned to US commercial strategic priorities and Gilead enterprise capabilities. 

  • Establish and lead a multi-year roadmap of omnichannel orchestration capabilities for Next-Best Experience (NBE) for patients and Next-Best Action (NBA) for health care providers.

  • Prioritize capabilities based on a clearly defined business need and impact, scalability, and feasibility. 

  • Establish and manage US Omnichannel orchestration governance process with the stakeholders to ensure transparency, timely prioritization and implementation of roadmap. 

 

Omnichannel orchestration capability building

  • Drive the implementation of the omnichannel orchestration capabilities for NBE/NBA programs in collaboration with functional and technology partners.

  • Set-up and stabilize the foundational data & analytics capabilities required for the Next-Best Experience for patients.

  • Lead the development of ML/AI driven decision engine to predict the optimal 4C-mix (customers, channels, content, cadence) for patient & HCP focused personalized campaigns.

  • Identify opportunities to connect & integrate the Patient & HCP decision engines to enhance the coordination of activation tactics across patients & HCPs.

Stakeholder Leadership and Influence 

  • Build strong cross-functional alignment across US Digital & AI strategy & ops, US Commercial Insights, Analytics & operations, Commercial IT and Global Decision Science & Data management teams to help guide and inform the impact of US omnichannel orchestration capabilities.

  • Act as a visible internal thought leader on US omnichannel orchestration   

  • Ensure that the omnichannel orchestration capabilities have a clear operating model defined across business and technology teams to ensure scalability and sustainability. 

  • Partner with IT to scope and deliver scalable omnichannel orchestration solutions that enable us to transform the NBE/NBA programs.

  • Engage senior stakeholders as needed, to align priorities and outcomes. 

 

Lead Delivery and Execution Excellence 

  • Lead end-to-end US omnichannel orchestration capability delivery, ensuring speed is balanced with quality deliverables. 

  • Define quarterly priorities, milestones, and execution plans. 

  • Ensure all capabilities are tied to clear business outcomes and measurable value. 

  • Act as an escalation point for complex cross-functional delivery challenges. 

  • Embody a culture of operational excellence and continuous improvement.  

 

Basic Qualifications:  

Bachelor's Degree and Twelve Years' Experience

OR

Masters' Degree and Ten Years' Experience

OR

PhD and Eight Years' Experience

 

Preferred Qualifications:  

  • 10+ years of pharma commercial experience with strong analytical & communication skills

  • Deep expertise in building omnichannel orchestration & decision engines using AI/ML driven models for HCP and patient focused campaigns

  • Experience with Pharmaceutical data sources and nuances including patient level claims data, HCP & patient engagement data from sales, marketing & patient support programs

  • Proven experience to effectively navigate between commercial data, analytics, and technology  environments

  • Demonstrated experience with innovation and strategic thinking to translating complex problems into measurable outcomes across a commercial organization. 

  • Excellent organizational, planning and project management skills and ability to effectively manage cross-functional projects.  

  • Proactive self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative, and evolving environment. 

  • Demonstrated communication and teamwork skills; ability to gain consensus and act within a matrix team environment; Ability to work in a collaborative and influencing fashion that drives to business action

The salary range for this position is: $210,375.00 - $272,250.00. Gilead considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including experience, qualifications, and geographic location. These considerations mean actual compensation will vary. This position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, discretionary stock-based long-term incentives (eligibility may vary based on role), paid time off, and a benefits package. Benefits include company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, and life insurance plans*.
