The Banking Support Specialist plays an important role in providing foundational support to the Banking team by assisting with a variety of tasks essential for informed decision-making and operational efficiency. The Banking Support Specialist contributes to information research and management, reporting, and operational tasks in coordination with the banking team. The overall objective is to provide reliable support across multiple areas, ensuring smooth operations and adherence to internal and external requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Team Assignment & Potential Tasks: This role provides foundational support to the Banking team. All tasks are performed under close supervision and following established procedures. Specific duties may include:
- Assisting with the preparation of initial documentation for potential deals.
- Assisting in the compilation of market data from established sources.
- Helping prepare basic charts and graphs for internal presentations.
- Supporting the team in maintaining databases of key contacts and client information.
- Assisting with the organization and distribution of approved market research reports.
- Assist the Banking team by carrying out assigned tasks related to deals, business development, and product/coverage efforts.
- Assist in the collection, organization, and basic validation of data from various sources, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
- Support the creation of basic reports, presentations, and marketing materials for the Banking team, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
- Assist in maintaining and updating databases related to clients, transactions, market data, and other relevant information, ensuring data is organized and readily accessible.
- Support the team in conducting due diligence and preparing risk assessments by gathering and organizing documentation.
- Assist in data retrieval from secondary sources and subscribed market data sources.
- Assist with basic deal-oriented and operational tasks, such as preparing documentation and helping coordinate meetings.
- Collaborate with team members to improve data management processes and streamline workflows by completing assigned tasks accurately.
- Assist with other operational tasks as needed to support the Banking team.
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.
Qualifications:
- 2-4 years of relevant experience in banking, finance, or a related field.
- Proven ability to gather and organize data effectively.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with financial markets, banking operations preferred.
- Commitment to maintaining data accuracy, confidentiality, and ethical standards.
Education:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
