Summary:
As an Operations Engineer, a typical day involves overseeing the smooth functioning of production systems and services, ensuring they meet operational requirements and service agreements. This role requires continuous monitoring, managing system performance, and addressing any issues that arise to maintain service reliability. Collaboration with various teams to coordinate operational activities and support delivery is a key aspect, along with proactive identification of potential risks and implementation of preventive measures to uphold system stability and efficiency throughout the day.

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Administer and maintain CA7 job scheduling system across multiple platforms.
- Create, modify, and monitor job schedules to meet business requirements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve job failures, delays, and dependency issues.
- Implement automation and optimization strategies to improve batch processing efficiency.
- Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and operations teams to support production workloads.
- Ensure compliance with IT policies, audit requirements, and security standards.
- Provide documentation, reporting, and training for CA7 processes.
- Participate in disaster recovery planning and execution.
- Strong experience with CA7 Workload Automation (installation, configuration, administration).
- Knowledge of mainframe systems (z/OS) and batch processing concepts.
- Familiarity with JCL, TSO/ISPF, and scheduling dependencies.
- Experience in troubleshooting job failures and performance issues.
- Understanding of ITIL processes (incident, change, problem management).
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.

Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Job Control Language (JCL).
- Experience in scripting and automation to streamline operational tasks.
- Strong problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve system issues effectively.
- Familiarity with production system monitoring tools and incident management processes.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate technical information clearly.

Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 3 years of experience in Job Control Language (JCL).
- This position is based at our Bengaluru office.
- A 15 years full time education is required.
