Job Description

The Customer Acquisition Lead is responsible for driving the growth of new Visa Pay customers through both direct and bank-led acquisition channels. This role focuses on designing and executing scalable acquisition strategies across multiple channels, geographies, customer segments, and partner ecosystems.

The position manages frontline acquisition teams and external agencies, ensuring performance against volume, quality, and cost targets. It also plays a key role in establishing and optimizing acquisition playbooks with banking partners, including branches and relationship managers.

Close collaboration with marketing and activation teams is essential to align lead generation, onboarding, and post-acquisition engagement. The role also provides market insights to enhance product positioning, messaging, and channel effectiveness.

Essential Functions:

  • Develop and execute customer acquisition plans by channel, geography, segment, and partner
  • Manage direct acquisition teams and/or agencies to achieve volume, quality, and CAC targets
  • Design and implement bank-led acquisition playbooks with issuer partners, branches, and relationship managers
  • Ensure high onboarding quality, including enrollment completion, KYC compliance, and qualified customer handoff
  • Track and optimize key metrics such as CAC, conversion rates, channel productivity, and funnel leakage
  • Reallocate resources and adjust strategies based on performance insights
  • Collaborate with marketing on lead generation initiatives and with activation teams on post-onboarding conversion
  • Capture and share market insights to improve value proposition, messaging, and channel design.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of relevant experience OR advanced degree with 2+ years of relevant experience
  • Experience in customer acquisition, field sales, channel management, or growth roles
  • Proven track record of managing frontline teams or external partners against defined targets
  • Strong commercial acumen and data-driven decision-making capability
  • Ability to develop structured playbooks and train field teams effectively
  • Strong stakeholder management experience, particularly with banks and cross-functional teams
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in fintech, digital payments, or mobile money ecosystems
  • Demonstrated success in scaling acquisition channels in emerging markets
  • Strong analytical and reporting capabilities
  • Experience working in multi-channel acquisition environments

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to travel regularly for field engagement and partner management
  • Capability to lead in-person training sessions and monitor field performance
  • Prolonged periods working with data, dashboards, and reporting tools
