Job Description

What's it all about:

You will be responsible for pro-actively leading and managing the relationship with one of the key business units at one of our largest Signature Clients.  Promoting and securing the use of Visa Europe products and services across their business to improve the Visa payments customer experience and deliver growth.

Through your deep Client relationship, and your experience and thought leadership, you will also work with the client to develop future strategic plans to identify and deliver new innovations for customers, ensuring that your client continues to be market leading innovators in the payments market.

You will be an important part of the wider Signature Client Account team, helping to shape our overall Account strategy, working collaboratively to deliver the wider team goals.

What we expect of you, day to day:

  • Lead a small team (1 direct report) to manage and expand our relationships within our Signature Client’s Consumer Credit business unit.  Managing the ongoing needs of the client and providing guidance to internal teams to ensure the highest quality customer service on all matters ranging from strategic to executional
  • Evolve one of Visa's most strategic partnerships from a transformation-led programme to a growth-led relationship, accelerating commercial performance, deepening executive engagement and expanding Visa's role as a trusted strategic partner.
  • Through your knowledge of credit cards and related unsecured products, the broader payments market and Financial Services, identify new opportunities to provide your client with solutions to grow their business
  • Work with your clients to identify new and ongoing requirements, introducing existing and new Visa products, services and capabilities that will deliver mutual P&L benefits
  • Strengthen strategic alignment between Visa and our client, ensuring the partnership continually evolves to support the client's long-term growth ambitions.
  • Develop annual & strategic plans to identify and deliver new innovative solutions, which will enhance the customer payment experience and support growth for the credit card business
  • Build relationships and lead across Visa to deliver innovative solutions and BAU excellence for our strategically important Signature Client
  • Be accountable for prioritising conflicting and competing demand across the business to ensure Visa resources are deployed to maximum effect.
  • Lead any contract negotiations and key strategic projects with the relevant Client Business Unit, delivering seamlessly on our mutual contractual commitments
  • Provide coaching, guidance and leadership to your direct report, supporting their personal and career development
  • Embed yourself in the wider account team and drive forward a positive culture of openness, diversity of thought, inclusivity, and accountability.

Visa requires at least 3 days in office, expectations of these days will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

Qualifications

  • Curiosity and pragmatism, with the aptitude to identify new opportunities and proactively propose solutions, being able to handle objections and navigate successful outcomes
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to liaise with multiple stakeholders up to Executive level, both internally and externally, gaining and building trust as the relationship progresses
  • Pro-active, solutions-oriented mindset
  • Strong commercial acumen with understanding of credit cards and credibility in the payments market, and experience of driving P&L growth
  • Ability to communicate complex issues and influences others internally and externally to take a different viewpoint, enabling projects and initiatives to move forward.
  • Proven ability to implement strategic initiatives with efficiency, professionalism and with demonstrated trouble shooting / problem solving skills
  • Proven influencing, selling and negotiation skills
  • Experience of leading and managing virtual teams
