Citi is looking for a high-performing and commercially driven Associate Corporate Banker to join its Corporate Banking team in Jordan, covering Large Corporates, Public Sector entities and Financial Institutions.

The role offers direct exposure to senior decision-makers at some of Jordan’s leading institutions and companies, with responsibility for developing client relationships, identifying opportunities, and bringing together Citi’s local and global capabilities to meet clients’ needs.


Responsibilities:

  • Manage and deepen relationships across a portfolio of Large Corporate, Public Sector and Financial Institution clients.
  • Develop a deep understanding of clients’ businesses, strategic priorities, financial performance, and credit profile.
  • Identify and develop business opportunities across Services, Markets, Lending and Banking.
  • Drive client engagement, relationship planning, pitching, and transaction execution.
  • Bring together Citi’s local, regional, and global capabilities to deliver solutions tailored to clients’ needs.
  • Work closely with Product, Risk, Credit and regional teams to execute transactions and manage relationships effectively.
  • Maintain a strong focus on revenue, returns, risk and overall portfolio performance.
  • Uphold Citi’s standards of risk management, controls, and professional conduct.


Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in Corporate or Institutional Banking, Transaction Banking, Markets, Investment Banking or a related field
  • Strong financial acumen, with a solid understanding of financial statements, credit fundamentals, and corporate finance.
  • Strong commercial mindset and ability to identify and develop business opportunities.
  • Ability to build credibility and engage confidently with senior clients and stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Strong awareness of macroeconomic, industry and regulatory developments.
  • High degree of ownership, intellectual curiosity, and sound judgement
  • Ability to work effectively across complex transactions, multiple stakeholders, and geographies.
  • Strong academic background in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related discipline.


Education:

  • Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience

The Opportunity:
