We are looking for a consummate Finance leader who can thrive in a fast-paced, highly ambiguous environment, and who exercises high standards and good judgment. The successful candidate has strong leadership skills and business acumen and is comfortable at influencing stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Key job responsibilities
- Liaise across the AWS finance community to drive core financial processes including annual operating plans, monthly/quarterly business reviews and assessment of risks/opportunities, and month-end close.
- Collaborate with teams to simplify, standardize, and automate reporting processes and analytics.
- Leverage AI tooling to drive automation of financial modeling for headcount and headcount cost forecasting to improve accuracy and agility of planning.
- Ensure compliance with finance and accounting controls and systems.
- Lead and manage special projects, working cross-functionally with various AWS finance and business teams.

About the team
This role is part of the AWS Central FP&A team. We centrally manage AWS headcount and headcount cost modeling to support AWS senior leaders and finance teams. We also coordinate and consolidate deliverables and establish financial controls and mechanisms by building tools that improve the speed of decision making, and providing insightful financial analysis on the short and long term strategy of AWS.
Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience- Bachelor's degree in BI, finance, engineering, statistics, computer science, mathematics, finance or equivalent quantitative field, or Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience
- 3+ years of contributing to cross-functional initiatives that drive financial performance and strategy experience
- 3+ years of dissecting financial data and identifying patterns that support business strategy experience
Preferred Qualifications

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
