Job Description – CX Operational Transformation-Workflow Engineer (Officer)

State Street Investment Management ("State Street IM," formerly known as State Street Global Advisors or SSGA) is seeking a hands-on software engineer to join the Emerging Technology and Transformation team in India with a focus on Operational Transformation & Innovation. The individual will contribute to the design, development, deployment, and support of AI-driven solutions while working closely with architects, senior engineers, and business stakeholders.

The role includes developing applications leveraging modern AI technologies and contributing to the evaluation and adoption of Google Gemini Enterprise AI or similar platforms. The individual will collaborate closely with architecture, AI, data, and security teams to deliver scalable, production-ready solutions aligned with enterprise transformation objectives, regulatory expectations, and security standards.

What You Will Be Responsible For:

  • Design, develop, test, and deploy AI applications using Python and modern AI platforms such as Google Gemini Enterprise and frameworks including LangChain and LangGraph.
  • Develop integrations with large language models (LLMs), APIs, vector databases, prompt management frameworks, and workflow orchestration platforms.
  • Contribute to the development of AI agents, automation solutions, and intelligent workflows that improve operational efficiency and business outcomes.
  • Participate in proof-of-concept activities and technical evaluations of emerging technologies, tools, and platforms.
  • Evaluate AI models, frameworks, and technologies to determine suitability for business use cases and enterprise adoption.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, design specifications, implementation guides, and operational procedures.
  • Follow enterprise software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes, including development, testing, deployment, and support activities.
  • Support responsible AI adoption by following governance, security, privacy, and regulatory guidelines established by the firm.
  • Stay current with emerging trends in artificial intelligence, cloud technologies, automation, and software engineering practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in software development and technology delivery.
  • Strong hands-on expertise in Python for developing enterprise applications and AI-driven solutions.
  • Experience with enterprise AI platforms such as Google Gemini Enterprise, Azure AI Services, AWS AI Services, or equivalent platforms.
  • Experience developing applications using Generative AI technologies and integrating with large language models.
  • Familiarity with frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, Semantic Kernel, or similar AI orchestration frameworks.
  • Experience with cloud services such as Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, Cloud Run, IAM, Azure, AWS, or equivalent cloud technologies.
  • Understanding of software development lifecycle practices and enterprise-grade engineering standards.
  • Experience working with APIs, databases, microservices, and integration patterns.
  • Familiarity with version control, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing practices.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Experience in financial services or highly regulated environments is preferred but not required.
  • Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot.
