Role Description

We are seeking a candidate to join our Automation team, the ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying, developing, and implementing user stories that enhance and automate processes and Incident Response (IR) workflows. This role aims to minimize manual workflow, improve response times, and reduce overall risk within the SOC.

Key Responsibilities

Identify Automation Opportunities - Collaborate with SOC analysts and other stakeholders to identify repetitive tasks  and processes to be automated

Develop User Stories - Create detailed user stories that capture the requirements and expectations for automation projects

Enhance Incident Response workflows

Test and validate solutions

Create documentation and knowledge sharing

 

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field; relevant may be considered in lieu of a degree.

3+ years of experience in Cybersecurity or a similar role, preferably within a SOC environment.

Proficiency in programming and scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash.

Experience with automation tools and frameworks.

Strong understanding of security operations, incident response processes, cybersecurity principles.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex requirements into effective solutions.

Strong communication skills both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross functional teams.
