Title and Summary
Manager, Data EngineeringOverviewThe GBSC Analytics & Automation team enables data-driven decision-making through scalable data platforms, automation, and analytics capabilities. We are seeking a Manager – Data Engineering to lead the design and delivery of robust data pipelines and data platforms that support analytics, reporting, and AI use cases.
Role & Responsibilities
• Lead multiple analytics projects and initiatives within GBSC and Mastercard
• Lead design and development of scalable data pipelines and platforms
• Manage and mentor a team of data engineers
• Partner with business and analytics teams to translate requirements into solutions
• Drive best practices in data quality, governance, and security
• Oversee end-to-end delivery of data engineering projects
• Optimize data workflows for performance and scalability
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Governance and AI/ML
• Ensure operational stability through monitoring and continuous improvement
All About You
• Experience in data engineering and ETL/ELT pipelines
• Strong SQL and Python skills
• Experience with data platforms (Eg: Databricks)
• Understanding of data architecture (Lakehouse, Warehousing)
• Strong stakeholder and team management skills
• Experience working with large datasets and enterprise systems
