As Director, Finance Business Partner within Technology you will work closely with our business leaders and their teams to provide financial oversite to their respective areas which includes creating financial plans, managing financial performance and collaborating on investment opportunities.
Role:
Reporting to the VP, the Finance Business Partner role is responsible for a broad range of finance related responsibilities and acts as a finance subject matter expert for Program Controls, Operations & Modernization (ProCom). Activities include short/long-term planning, efficiency/financial target management, and contract management. Demonstrates flexibility and adaptability, with a willingness to take on evolving responsibilities and potentially transition into different roles as business needs change.
Responsibilities:
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present financial concepts clearly to non-financial audiences
• Leads and drives aspects of financial reporting related needs and requirements (i.e., budgeting, forecasting, strategic planning, target setting)
• Partners with regions, business units, business partners and/or corporate to assist in developing, analyzing and validating new business opportunities
• Collaborates and leads conversations with senior business partners, acting as a trusted advisor on financial matters, ensuring alignment with goals and strategies; partner with sourcing to deliver efficiencies alignment with targets; recommend new metrics to measure success
• Executes large, complex agreements, leveraging subject matter expertise [SME] for their designated area
• Applies the Technology Business Management [TBM] framework to allocate technology costs and enable product P&L management
• Manages a team, conducts goal setting and performance appraisal processes, identifies and coaches top talent
• Formulates ideas for process improvements to ensure team is effectively managing workload
• Perform other ad hoc projects and financial analyses as needed including those for new business cases
About you:
• Robust understanding and experience managing financial performance; previous experience with a Technology/IT organization a plus
• Energetic and motivated team player with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions and teams, driving projects and key initiatives to successful completion.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Experience in managing a diverse, multifunctional, global Finance organization, including motivating, developing and inspiring Finance professionals
• Good working knowledge of general accounting, accounting processes and internal controls
• Strong communication and executive presence—able to frame issues, influence stakeholders, and drive alignment
• Experience consulting and providing advice and feedback to the business on risk and opportunity considerations, leveraging advanced analytical techniques as well as outside trends and events
• Advanced knowledge of Excel, Oracle, and Hyperion; understanding of Apptio/TBM practices and Agile IT methodology a plus
