Key job responsibilities
- Providing advice and support to security teams and others on compliance with all manner of security laws and regulations, including cybersecurity and data breach laws
- Leading the legal response for security incidents, directing investigation, assessing legal obligations and advising on and drafting customer and regulator communications
- Supporting our teams in drafting and presenting security-related documents to various audiences including executive leadership

A day in the life
Your day will involve advising security teams on compliance matters and leading legal responses to security incidents. You'll work closely with cross-functional partners including Compliance, Public Policy, Public Relations, and Privacy teams. You'll manage outside counsel relationships and provide strategic legal guidance on security matters. Your work will span Amazon's diverse businesses, requiring you to quickly assess novel security issues and provide practical legal solutions. You'll draft communications for customers and regulators, support executive presentations, and advise on security aspects of business transactions.

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
