Job Description & Summary

PwC helps organisations build trust and solve important problems through assurance, advisory, and tax services. Within Assurance, we leverage technology, analytics, automation, and emerging technologies (including AI) to enhance audit quality and deliver insights to our Financial Services clients.

As a Software Developer Intern, you will support PwC’s Assurance (Financial Services) team by contributing to the development of digital solutions, automation initiatives, and AI-enabled tools that enhance audit procedures and assurance outcomes. This role provides hands-on exposure to the intersection of software engineering, assurance, automation, and emerging technologies within a professional services environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the development and enhancement of software applications used by the Assurance (FS) team
  • Design and build automation solutions to improve audit efficiency and data processing workflows
  • Assist with Prompt Engineering and Agentic AI Engineering initiatives to support internal tools and digital enablement use cases
  • Perform data extraction, transformation, and analysis from client systems and structured datasets
  • Collaborate with auditors, risk professionals, and technology specialists to translate assurance requirements into technical solutions
  • Test, debug, and document applications, scripts, AI prompts, and workflows
  • Prepare technical documentation and user guides where required
  • Ensure adherence to PwC’s governance, risk, compliance, and data security standards

Educational Background

  • Undergraduate students pursuing a degree in one of the following disciplines: Computer Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering (or equivalent technical disciplines)

Preferred Skills

  • Programming and scripting experience, particularly in: Python & SQL
  • Exposure to automation, data analytics, or AI-driven solutions is an advantage
  • Familiarity with software development lifecycle (SDLC) concepts
  • Interest in Financial Services, assurance, audit, or risk-related domains
