Job Description & Summary

This role provides an opportunity to develop specialised expertise in the audit of unit trust funds.

As an FS Specialist, you will work closely with audit teams to execute routine, high-volume audit procedures , including review of fund financial statements, assess compliance with regulatory requirements, and gain exposure to the investment management industry. This is a specialised operational role focused on consistent, meticulous execution of standardised audit procedures. 

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute routine and repetitive audit procedures for unit trust funds and other investment vehicles in high volume. 

  • Assist in the planning and execution of audits for unit trust funds and other investment vehicles. 

  • Review financial statements against standardised checklists to ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulatory requirements. 

  • Perform analytical procedures and investigate unusual transactions or variances. 

  • Assist in reviewing annual and interim financial statements of unit trust funds. 

  • Ensure disclosures comply with relevant accounting frameworks and industry regulations. 

  • Support the preparation of audit documentation and working papers. 

  • Review compliance with trust deeds, fund prospectuses, Securities Commission requirements, and other applicable regulations. 

  • Identify audit risks and communicate findings to senior team members. 

Requirements

  • Possesses a Bachelor in Accounting

  • Candidates with a minimum of CGPA 2.6 and above. 

  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting. 

  • Basic knowledge of auditing concepts and procedures. 

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. 

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment. 

  • Willingness to learn and develop expertise in unit trust fund audits.
