Summary:
As an Application Support Engineer, a typical day involves acting as a software detective by investigating and resolving issues across various components of essential business systems. This role requires a proactive approach to identifying problems, analyzing system behavior, and ensuring the smooth operation of critical applications. The position demands continuous monitoring, collaboration with different teams, and delivering timely solutions to maintain system reliability and performance in a dynamic work environment.

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to perform independently and become an SME.
- Required active participation/contribution in team discussions.
- Contribute in providing solutions to work related problems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand system requirements and troubleshoot complex issues.
- Document findings and solutions clearly to support knowledge sharing and future reference.
- Assist in the implementation of system updates and enhancements to improve overall application stability.
- Support junior team members by sharing knowledge and providing guidance on best practices.

Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle Procedural Language Extensions to SQL (PLSQL), Microsoft Power Business Intelligence (BI).
- Good To Have Skills: Experience with MySQL, Oracle Procedural Language Extensions to SQL (PLSQL), Microsoft Power Business Intelligence (BI).
- Strong understanding of database management and query optimization techniques.
- Experience in troubleshooting and resolving database-related issues in production environments.
- Familiarity with performance tuning and monitoring tools for relational databases.
- Ability to analyze complex data structures and support data integrity and security.

Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 3 years of experience in PostgreSQL.
- This position is based at our Chennai office.
- A 15 years full time education is required.
