Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Perform biomanufacturing-related analytical testing in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs), ensuring accurate, reliable, and timely delivery of test results.
  • Conduct sample quality analyses and spent media analyses using appropriate analytical techniques.
  • Collaborate closely with scientists to provide technical support, troubleshoot analytical challenges, and recommend effective testing solutions.
  • Set up, calibrate, operate, and maintain analytical instruments and laboratory equipment, ensuring compliance with quality standards and laboratory procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including upstream and downstream process development, to support project execution and achieve project objectives.
  • Develop, optimize, and validate mass spectrometry-based analytical methods for the qualitative and quantitative analysis of components in spent media.
  • Document experimental procedures, analyze and interpret data, and prepare clear, accurate technical reports in a timely manner.
  • Ensure compliance with laboratory safety regulations, Good Documentation Practices (GDP), and applicable quality management requirements.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree or above in Analytical Chemistry, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Bioengineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or a related discipline.
  • At least 5 years of hands-on experience in mass spectrometry analysis within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or biomanufacturing industry.
  • Proven experience in developing, optimizing, and applying LC-MS/MS or high-resolution mass spectrometry methods for the analysis of bioprocess samples, including spent media and/or biologics, is preferred.
  • Experience operating Thermo Scientific™ Stellar™ Mass Spectrometer is highly preferred.
  • Good command of written and spoken English, with the ability to read technical literature and communicate effectively in a professional environment.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).nt in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
