DESCRIPTION:
At Thermo Fisher Scientific, collaborate with our team developing and maintaining world-class manufacturing processes for advanced scientific instrumentation and biomedical products. As a Calibration Technician, you'll work across functions to optimize production, improve quality, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Lead technical projects while working with state-of-the-art equipment in a GMP environment. Make meaningful contributions that enable our customers to make the world healthier, cleaner and safer.
Shift Pattern
Double day shifts:
Week 1 Monday-Friday: 07:00 – 15:00
Week 2 Monday-Friday: 15:00 – 23:00
Key Responsibilities:
Hands on involvement in equipment calibration, record keeping and fault finding.
Taking ownership of site schedule of calibration requirements.
Work autonomously to prepare for, conduct and complete calibration activities.
Offer opinions to new product introductions on calibration topics to define parameters required to streamline future needs.
Ensure cGMP (current Good Manufacturing Practice) is applied in all activities undertaken to ensure regulatory compliance.
Ownership of the generation and upkeep of calibration procedures to latest standards.
Ensure best practice approaches are always sought to future proof applied solutions.
Qualifications/Experience:
Engineering qualifications would be a distinct advantage
Able to demonstrate ability to multi task and prioritise within a changing environment.
Experience of working within an audited environment would be beneficial but not essential.
Demonstrates an ability to work to standard procedures accurately and without deviation.
