This Global Research and Development Center, established in 2009, is in My Home Twitza, Hyderabad, with over 150 employees. Position Summary
As a Lead Software Engineer, you will join diverse team of developers to participate in the specification, design, testing, maintenance, and implementation of software for analytical, bioproduction instruments and allied products. This software, and these instruments a make a real, positive, and strong impact on the lives of people across the globe.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Lead end-to-end delivery of complex software modules across multiple concurrent projects.
Drive technical design, implementation, testing, code quality, and production support.
Provide technical leadership, mentor team members, and promote engineering best practices.
Actively participate in Agile ceremonies, identify risks, and deliver scalable solutions.
Demonstrate strong ownership, problem-solving, collaboration, and communication skills.
Quickly learn new technologies and independently resolve technical problems.
Communicate effectively through clear documentation and stakeholder collaboration.
Minimum Qualifications / Experience / Required Skills:
Bachelors in Engineering or Masters in Computer Science with 7+ years of relevant experience
Minimum 6 years’ hands-on experience in developing Java/JEE based web applications based on micro-services architecture (using Spring Boot, REST APIs).
Minimum 6 years’ hands-on experience with GitHub, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD frameworks (Jenkins)
Minimum 6 years’ hands-on experience with databases (Postgres/MySQL/Oracle/NoSQL DB), persistence frameworks, and SQL
Extensive hands-on experience in Java application development frameworks and technologies: E.g. Jetty, Guice, Spring and JSON/XML/Ajax
Frontend development hands-on experience. E.g. Javascript, Ajax, Bootstrap, HTML 5, CSS, Angular JS and understanding of browser compatibility issues.
Experience with Cloud computing services. AWS preferred. (E.g. S3, SNS, SES, EC2)
Strong in programming disciplines like object oriented principles, design patterns, data structures and unit testing (TDD using junit), Domain driven Design (DDD)
Experience, instincts, and enthusiasm around integration, testability and automation
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to effectively document artifacts and processes then explain them to others
Experience with defining and implementing Non-Functional Requirements (NFR – Security, Performance, Cost etc )
Experience with DecSecOps tools like CodeQL, Qualys, JFrog X-Ray, Dependabot etc.,
