DESCRIPTION:
Join our team at Thermo Fisher Scientific as a Accounting Operations Analyst III supporting our Record to Report (RtR) Operations. In this role, you'll handle complex financial operations while contributing to our mission of enabling customers to make the world healthier, cleaner and safer. You'll prepare and analyze financial data, manage account reconciliations, and develop process improvements. You'll collaborate with teams while ensuring accuracy and compliance in all financial activities. Key Responsibilities
•Prepare and post standard journal entries.
•Perform general ledger account reconciliations and resolve reconciling items promptly.
•Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities.
•Maintain and reconcile balance sheet accounts.
•Prepare BS and P&L variance analysis
•Analyze financial transactions and identify discrepancies.
•Ensure accounting records are complete, accurate, and compliant with company policies.
•Assist in preparing financial reports and schedules.
•Support internal and external audits by providing requested documentation.
•Collaborate with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, Tax, and other finance teams to resolve accounting issues.
•Ensure compliance with SOX controls and internal control procedures, where applicable.
•Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
•Maintain proper documentation and records for accounting transactions.

Qualifications
•Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
•Min 3 year of accounting experience, preferably in General Ledger Accounting.
•Strong understanding of accounting principles (GAAP or IFRS, as applicable).
•Experience with ERP systems such as Oracle or similar.
•Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
•Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
•Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
•Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications
•CPA or equivalent accounting certification is an advantage.
•Experience working in a shared services or multinational environment.
•Knowledge of Treasury operations and banking platforms.
•Experience with process improvement or automation tools.
