DESCRIPTION:
Join our collaborative team at Thermo Fisher Scientific as an IT Project Manager II and contribute to our mission of making the world healthier, cleaner, and safer. In this role, you'll guide cross-functional teams in delivering important IT initiatives while supporting innovation and operational excellence. You'll manage complex projects from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with business objectives and stakeholder needs. Working in an agile environment, you'll facilitate effective communication, address challenges, and promote continuous improvement practices. This position offers the opportunity to work with advanced technologies while collaborating with teams across our organization.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Advanced Degree, no prior experience required, or Bachelor's Degree plus 5 years of experience in IT project management or similar role
• Preferred Fields of Study: Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field
• Professional certifications such as PMP, CSM, or SAFe preferred
• Additional relevant certifications in agile methodologies or project management a plus
• Strong expertise in agile methodologies (Scrum, SAFe) and traditional project management practices
• Demonstrated success in delivering complex IT projects on time and within budget
• Advanced proficiency with project management tools (JIRA, Confluence, MS Project, Planview)
• Experience with enterprise software implementation and system integration projects
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Ability to influence and collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels
• Experience working in matrix organizations and managing distributed teams
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Excellent stakeholder management and conflict resolution skills
• Strong understanding of IT service management and operations
• Participation in on-call rotations as needed
• Business-level English proficiency required; additional language skills a plus
• Adaptability in a results-oriented environment
• Experience with continuous improvement methodologies (PPI, Six Sigma)
