Position Summary: 

The Commercial Manager, Healthcare and Consumables is a key leadership role responsible for defining and executing portfolio and commercial growth strategies across key segments including healthcare, clinical, industrial and biotech/pharma, with a broad portfolio of 3rd party products. Products include, but not limited to sterilization, disinfection, PPE, general laboratory plastics, glassware, filtration and others. 

Leading a team of Product Managers and Sales Specialists, this role sets strategic direction, builds a high-performing and customer-centric team, and ensures strong execution of our annual operating plans. The Commercial Manager integrates portfolio strategy with commercial excellence, collaborating closely with marketing, support teams and key 3rd party suppliers, to deliver differentiated customer value, drive share gain in priority markets, and achieve key financial and strategic performance targets.  

This role will spend approximately 25% of time in field.  

 
Requirements: 

  • Tertiary qualifications in healthcare, life sciences and/or business-related fields and at minimum 3-5 years sales management experience. 

  • Business insight and experience in the healthcare and/or related consumables sector is highly preferred 

  • Track record in driving business growth through sales leadership and the implementation of portfolio strategy to achieve required objectives  

  • Team management experience, with track record in building, developing and coaching a high performing team to deliver against objectives   

  • An ability to operate successfully within an environment focused on high performance   

  • Experience working in a global and matrix organisation is an advantage  

  • Results-driven commercial leader with strong business acumen.  

  • Strategic and disciplined operator with excellent organisational skills, able to prioritize effectively and deliver against key result areas. 

  • Engaging people leader who motivates and develops teams, drives accountability, and leads through influence in complex environments.  

  • Resilient change leader with the ability to navigate ambiguity, manage conflict constructively, and lead through change with confidence and composure.  

  • Trusted communicator demonstrating high integrity, professional standards, and strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to influence and negotiate successfully.
