DESCRIPTION:
Join our collaborative team at Thermo Fisher Scientific as a Market Development Specialist III, where you'll play a key role in strengthening our commercial presence across Mexico and Central America through strategic distributor engagement and regional marketing initiatives.
In this role, you will serve as the primary marketing point of contact for our distributor network, building strong relationships to understand local market dynamics, business needs, and operational processes. By acting as the bridge between distributors and our Biosciences Division (BID) internal teams, you will help ensure effective communication, alignment, and execution of marketing strategies that accelerate business growth.
You will lead and support distributor-facing marketing activities, including product training, marketing communications, promotional materials, events, and demand generation initiatives. As a member of the BID Regional Market Development team, you will collaborate cross-functionally with Product Management, Commercial, Sales, and Marketing teams to develop and execute go-to-market strategies, regional campaigns, product launches, and customer engagement programs aligned with business objectives.
Success in this role requires a highly collaborative mindset, strong project management skills, and the ability to translate regional market insights into impactful marketing programs.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences (Biology, Pharmacy, Biomedical Sciences, or related field) required. Advanced degree (Master's and/or Ph.D.) is a plus.
English Fluence (writing and speaking)
Travel requirements of 25-50% within assigned territory;
General knowledge in the areas of general cell culture, cell analysis, protein analysis, molecular biology.
Previous experience in B2B marketing, preferably in life sciences or healthcare industries. Additional experience with channels or related fields are valued.

Strong analytical capabilities to derive insights from data and optimize campaign performance

Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a matrix environment
Ability to translate complex technical information into compelling marketing messages
Experience managing marketing budgets and vendor relationship
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
Able to handle confidential and proprietary information.
Must possess self-motivation, enthusiasm and a positive attitude
High degree of flexibility to adapt to a constantly changing business environment.
