Location/Division Specific Information

MSD, Eindhoven Operations

Position Objective:

As the Data Analyst in our Project Management & Process improvement (PPI) team, you act as a business partner for our Operations management team. Translating data into useful information that can used for decision-making and process improvements.  You will be working closely with all departments within Operations (Manufacturing, OE, Logistics, Advanced Manufacturing Engineering) and supporting departments in the global organization (Digital Innovation, Operational Excellence, etc). You will be partnering with Data analytics teams in other departments, to gather best practices and to build relationships.

A day in the Life:

• Connect with the Manufacturing teams & people leaders to understand their needs and challenges

• Connect with Master Planning to get valuable input for current planning times and factory capacity

• Partner with Global Digital Innovation and Advance Manufacturing Engineering to consolidate and globalize our (BI-)reports

• Create a Power BI dashboard for throughput times per production step.

• Develop our data-roadmap based on business needs

• Create an end-to-end Value stream with underlying reports per process step

• Translating various data sets into actionable management information.

• Own and drive the use of MES data for performance analysis (OEE, cycle time, FPY, WIP, bottlenecks)

 

Key to Success:

• Must have excellent analytical skills.

• Must have the ability to translate and align data with business needs.

• Must have positive relationship building skills.

• Must have extensive experience in Power BI and Power Apps.

• Must dedicate time to understand products, processes and related details.

• Proper understanding of the MSD Operations business and challenges.

Education:

• University degree in Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Supply chain management or Data Science

Experience:

• 3-5 years of confirmed experience in Operations and/or Supply chain

• Extensive experience in Power BI, Power Apps, SQL.

• Skills in Python and R are a plus.

• Experience in Data Analytics and willingness to develop further

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

• Strong analytical, advanced Excel skills.

• Experienced in change management and continuous improvement.

• High level of organizational and time management skills.

• Ability to work with teams globally.

• Ability to influence teams with different objectives to include and consider priorities.

• Must demonstrate excellent written and presentation skills, with strong

English proficiency
