Your Impact

As our Finance Business Partner for China R&D, you'll be the financial compass guiding our local investment strategies.  You'll work closely with our China R&D leaders to shape the future of patient care while ensuring financial excellence.

Key Responsibilities

China R&D

Strategic Business Partnership – Serve as the trusted financial advisor to Development, TMU and Research China leadership teams, providing financial insights that drive R&D investment decisions, resource allocation, and strategic priorities aligned with Sanofi China's science agenda

End-to-End P&L & Performance Management – Own financial performance tracking across Development, TMU and Research China operations, monitoring KPIs, analyzing gaps vs. targets, and developing corrective actions to optimize research spend efficiency and portfolio productivity

Integrated Planning & Forecasting – Lead consolidated forecast, budget, and strategic planning cycles for both perimeters, ensuring accurate and aligned financials that reflect business strategy while coordinating with Global R&D Finance and Corporate teams

Risk, Opportunity & Scenario Analysis – Proactively identify financial risks and opportunities across the Development, TMU and Research China portfolios, delivering scenario planning and business cases to support pipeline prioritization, go/no-go decisions, and transformation initiatives

BD and Alliance Management – Support local / China for China Business development activities and Alliance Management

Global Development

Project Finance Business Partner: Provide end-to-end financial support for assigned Clinical projects, ensuring smart resource allocation and risk management.  Including

Performance Management: Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying risks and opportunities to keep us ahead of the curve.

Global Project Stewardship: Own financial metrics for Global Project Teams, leading valuations, and providing critical decision-making support.

Business Development:  As assigned by Manager, contribute to BD and M&A activities and prioritization exercises, driving growth and innovation.

Strategic Finance Support:  Working with Manager. Contribute to Therapeutic Area(s) Strategies, Annual Strategic Planning exercise and PSW support

About You

Your Expertise

Master's Degree or MBA in Finance; CPA and scientific background are a plus

7+ years of experience in Finance/Accounting with R&D exposure

Proven track record of partnering with Executive Senior Leaders

Sharp analytical skills with the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights

Strong communication skills to influence and guide cross-functional teams
