Success in the role is measured by validated business outcomes, business satisfaction, and sustained adoption of solutions, rather than delivery of initiatives alone. The role will work autonomously with limited direct supervision from senior team members. Will provide coaching, task management and support to Managers promoting standard process across multiple domains, collaboratore holder groups.

Key Responsibilities

Stakeholder Engagement & Business Development

  • Build and sustain trusted relationships with senior business collaborators and capability leaders, converting them into collaborative sponsors for long-term value creation
  • Collaborate with business unit leaders to identify high-impact process optimization opportunities (>$10m annually) yielding efficiency, cost savings, or risk reduction
  • Develop and execute comprehensive customer strategies including account planning, stakeholder engagement frameworks, and portfolio scaling to drive sustained business growth
  • Design customer-centric engagement strategies with prioritization frameworks that align value opportunities with customer strategic objectives and business outcomes
  • Lead cross-functional (across Sales, Market Access, Medical, and Marketing) alignment forums and co-creation workshops, ensuring that process and analytics initiatives are directly shaped by the unique needs of each commercial function
  • Handle senior stakeholder expectations aligned with agreed outcomes and delivery roadmaps
  • Meet financial and customer satisfaction targets including financial savings, productivity metrics, recharge goals, and customer satisfaction (NPS)

Project & Portfolio Leadership

  • Lead end-to-end project lifecycle management across initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closing phases, ensuring adherence to project management methodologies and standard processes
  • Develop and implement actionable project plans with clear achievements, results, timelines, and success metrics aligned to business objectives
  • Handle project resources effectively, including Business Analysts and cross-functional team members, delegating tasks appropriately and optimizing resource allocation across multiple concurrent initiatives
  • Supervise project portfolio ($200k–$2m initiatives) to deliver quality results on time, within budget, and aligned to strategic priorities
  • Take full ownership of accomplishing and delivering comprehensive projects. These projects focus on improving and analyzing processes throughout their entire lifecycle. They ensure detailed management of business process initiatives, intelligent process automation, and process mining. This covers initial discovery and data ingestion from platforms like SAP, Veeva, and Salesforce, through to achieving and verifying measurable value.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate project risks, resolve conflicts, and make critical decisions to maintain project momentum and stakeholder confidence
  • Monitor project performance using established indicators and metrics, providing regular status updates and clear communication to collaborators and leadership
  • Ensure quality assurance and governance throughout project delivery, implementing continuous improvement practices and lessons learned
  • Partner with commercial leadership to convert complex process data into actionable arguments (e.g., reducing launch timeline gaps)

Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Coordinate with GBS Functional Partners, Enterprise Service Leads, and IT to plan and handle business transformation, delivery, and capacity
  • Serve as primary liaison for commercial business leadership to convert strategic objectives into GBS PAS service requirements

Culture & Talent

  • Promote and embody AstraZeneca values, fostering a work environment that attracts, develops, and retains top talent while exceeding customer expectations

Essential Requirements

  • Solid grasp of end-to-end operational value streams, collaborator ecosystems, and cross-functional business processes, with the ability to identify, prioritise, and develop high-impact transformation opportunities.
  • Experience with capabilities built to improve business performance, including Process Mining, Process Re-Engineering, Robotic Process Automation, Business Process Management, Workflow Applications, and Intelligent Decision Systems.
  • Strong understanding of advanced analytics, AI, and data science applications in business processes, translating technology capabilities into measurable business outcomes.
