The Microsoft Agentic Security organization is building the next generation of AI-powered security solutions, rethinking how security work gets done in the era of AI. As part of the Microsoft Agentic Security organization, the Project Perception team is pioneering a new security paradigm that combines frontier AI models, security expertise, knowledge graphs, and deep security context to transform how defenders detect, investigate, and respond to threats.
The Perception Platform is the shared builder and operating foundation for Microsoft Security's premium agents, playbooks, and end-to-end agentic experiences. The platform enables teams across Defender, Intune, Entra, Purview, Exposure Management, OneSOC, and adjacent security experiences to build differentiated outcomes on one reusable platform contract rather than recreating common infrastructure. As a Senior Product Manager, you will own product strategy and definition for key areas of Perception Platform. You will work closely with engineering, design, security research, data science, business planning, and product teams across Microsoft Security to translate customer needs and emerging AI capabilities into a clear roadmap. You will define customer and business outcomes, make prioritization decisions, shape reusable platform capabilities and experiences, and take features from discovery through launch and measurable adoption.
Microsoft’s mission is to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more. As employees we come together with a growth mindset, innovate to empower others, and collaborate to realize our shared goals. Each day we build on our values of respect, integrity, and accountability to create a culture of inclusion where everyone can thrive at work and beyond.
Responsibilities
- Own the product vision, strategy, roadmap, and success measures for key Perception Platform capabilities, connecting the needs of agent builders, product teams, operators, and customers to reusable platform investments.
- Define the platform product contract across build, run, efficient inference, orchestration, trust, grounding and learning, and production operations, with clear customer value and adoption outcomes.
- Partner with engineering, design, security research, and data science to translate emerging AI and security capabilities into clear product requirements, prioritized scenarios, and high-quality experiences.
- Use customer research, preview feedback, telemetry, competitive insights, and market signals to validate product-market fit, identify friction, and continuously improve the roadmap.
- Drive platform readiness from concept through preview, general availability, and scale, including developer lifecycle, quality gates, governance, onboarding, metering, service health, and adoption measurement.
- Establish clear platform and domain-team ownership boundaries, prioritizing shared capabilities that unblock multiple teams while ensuring integrations use durable contracts, shared artifacts, evidence, and provenance.
- Communicate product direction, tradeoffs, progress, and decisions to senior leaders, partner teams, field organizations, and customers with clarity and customer-backed evidence.
