Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and delivery of complex software components and features, balancing performance, scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
- Build and improve CI/CD, testing, and automation to enable reliable, high-quality, and efficient releases.
- Drive technical solutions and feature enhancements while meeting security, privacy, compliance, and quality standards.
- Explore and apply AI-powered capabilities and developer tools to improve product experiences, engineering productivity, automation, and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with architects and cross-functional teams to evaluate design options, make technical decisions, and manage tradeoffs.
- Use telemetry, experimentation, and operational metrics to validate system health, performance, and customer impact.
- Contribute to design and code reviews, promote engineering best practices, and ensure end-to-end production readiness.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
- OR equivalent experience.
Other Requirements:
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
- Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
- OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 8+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
- OR equivalent experience.
- 5+ years experience in a collaborative environment.
- 6+ years of professional software engineering experience building, shipping, and maintaining production-grade software systems.
- Experience with AI-powered tooling or applications, including integrating AI capabilities into software solutions or leveraging AI tools to improve engineering productivity
- Experience designing and optimizing software for performance, reliability, and efficient resource utilization across diverse runtime environments and deployment scenarios.
- Experience building or integrating systems in cloud-based environments, including telemetry, monitoring, CI/CD pipelines, or backend service interactions.
- Ability to work effectively across multiple domains, technologies, and ambiguous problem spaces, adapting quickly to evolving requirements.
- Familiarity with advertising technology concepts such as SDK development, ad delivery pipelines, telemetry, experimentation, or monetization platforms.

Software Engineering IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $119,800 - $234,700 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $160,200 - $261,000 per year.
