Amazon LEO is Amazon’s low Earth orbit satellite broadband network. Its mission is to deliver fast, reliable internet to customers and communities around the world, and we’ve designed the system with the capacity, flexibility, and performance to serve a wide range of customers, from individual households to schools, hospitals, businesses, government agencies, and other organizations operating in locations without reliable connectivity.

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join the Amazon Leo Equipment Group in supporting Amazon’s Mini Gator shipping fixtures—specialized containers used to safely transport fully assembled satellites to launch facilities. This role is critical to ensuring these fixtures remain in optimal condition through preventative maintenance, inspection, troubleshooting, and repair.

Key job responsibilities
• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on Mini Gator shipping fixtures after each return from launch facilities.
• Conduct thorough inspections of structural integrity, welds, fasteners, seals, and decals.
• Operate heavy lifting equipment (cranes, pallet jacks) to remove, inspect, and reassemble lids and fixture components.
• Clean interior and exterior surfaces using IPA, lint-free cloths, and compressed air to remove debris and prevent foreign object damage (FOD).
• Perform leak tests, identify seal damage, and apply corrective actions such as seal replacement or temporary repairs.
• Inspect and maintain critical components such as toggle clamps, grounding straps, rotator shim assemblies, and desiccant holders.
• Use torque wrenches, gauges, and specialty tools to verify proper installation and functionality of hardware.
• Document work performed, update maintenance tracking sheets, and change fixture readiness status indicators.
• Follow all safety procedures, including use of PPE (steel-toed footwear, eye protection, gloves, head protection) and adherence to ESD protection requirements.

Export Control Requirement:
Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
