- 1+ years of finance experience
- 1+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience
- Knowledge of standard software including Excel, Access, Oracle, Essbase, SQL and VBA skills
- Experience in corporate finance including budgeting/planning, forecasting and reporting

You'll partner with Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) leaders across global operations, transforming complex data into actionable intelligence that drives resource planning, operating expense decisions, and workforce productivity enhancements. As a strategic analytical partner, you'll contribute to central consolidation efforts that support Amazon's most impactful business operations.
Key job responsibilities
- Participate in month-end, quarterly, and annual operating financial planning cycles, contributing to consolidated forecasts and reports that support strategic headcount and employee expense decisions across Worldwide Operations
- Analyze complex financial data and cross-check against multiple sources to ensure accuracy, providing timely analytics and insights that inform business decisions on workforce productivity and planning execution
- Extract, validate, and synthesize data from various sources to create comprehensive financial reports and models that enable leadership decision-making
- Drive automation and continuous improvement initiatives to streamline controllership processes, enhance financial reporting efficiency, and scale team capabilities with measurable results
- Partner with FP&A leaders and finance stakeholders to deliver analytical work that influences executive decisions, while creating documentation and standard operating procedures to support knowledge transfer
A day in the life
You'll work closely with the WW Ops Finance team on central planning and forecasting cycles, partnering with FP&A stakeholders to deliver consolidated views for monthly, quarterly, and annual cycles. Your day starts with your team, checking in on key priorities and support needed, and providing analytics that support leadership discussions. You support day-to-day activities that influence stakeholder productivity and manage planning cycle rhythms. You'll also contribute critical thinking skills to process improvements, working with various financial systems and collaborating with finance professionals on reporting automation and efficiencies.

The Worldwide Operations Finance Central Headcount and Operating Expense Financial Planning and Analysis team supports consolidated forecasting, planning, and reporting across Amazon's Worldwide Operations organization that moves tens of millions of units annually across the United States and internationally. Our team partners with Finance and Financial Planning and Analysis leaders that support Amazon's Fulfillment, Freight, Air, Distribution, Delivery, and Services businesses to deliver the financial clarity that drives highly impactful strategic and investment business decisions.

Basic Qualifications

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
