Overview

Microsoft’s mission is to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more. In Consumer Marketing, we bring that mission to life by transforming how customers discover, compare, and buy Windows and Surface devices on the web.

We are seeking a Web Operations and Program Management Lead to help our web team run cleanly and ship with confidence by owning portfolio program management, scalable processes, vendor operations, and the “how we work” system that increases throughput and reduces friction. This role is also accountable for last-mile delivery for web launches and major updates by providing standardized execution toolkits and ensuring final dependencies are closed before publish.

This role also runs localization across more than 200 languages and 244 markets, coordinating assets, approvals, and release timing with clear gates so global releases are predictable and consistent. In addition, this role partners closely with compliance, privacy, and security stakeholders to ensure web updates are shipped with the right governance, validations, and controls.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate last-mile web delivery and own execution toolkits: Run final readiness and publish steps for launches and major updates, including content and asset readiness, dev (development) readiness, tagging and instrumentation verification, QA (Quality Assurance) sign-offs, publishing and rollback plans, and post-launch monitoring handoffs.
  • Operationalize compliance, privacy, and security for web releases: Embed compliance, privacy, and security requirements into intake, planning, and launch readiness. Coordinate validations, approvals, and evidence collection with required stakeholders so releases meet governance expectations before publish.

  • Drive privacy-safe measurement and instrumentation readiness: Ensure tagging, analytics, and experimentation dependencies align with consent requirements, data minimization standards, and internal policies. Coordinate reviews and approvals for updates that impact data collection, cookies, or user consent flows.

  • Run localization at global scale (200+ languages, 244 markets): Coordinate localization assets, in-market reviews, approvals, and release timing with clear gates aligned to the integrated release calendar.

  • Own portfolio program management across the web roadmap: Drive integrated planning across workstreams, including timelines, milestones, dependency mapping, risk management, and executive-ready status reporting.

  • Drive process improvement through the full delivery lifecycle: Identify bottlenecks and implement improvements to intake, prioritization workflows, review cycles, approvals, and launch readiness routines.

  • Lead vendor operations and governance: Manage vendor SOW (Statement of Work) governance, onboarding and offboarding, capacity planning, budget visibility, performance reviews, and QBR (Quarterly Business Review)-ready scorecards to improve quality, speed, and cost efficiency.

  • Own web team playbooks and hub: Maintain a “How to work with us” hub housing core artifacts such as team charter, intake forms, templates, working agreements, onboarding documents, RACIs (Responsible, Accountable, Consulted, Informed), tiering frameworks, stakeholder maps, escalation paths, and project communication plans.

Required/minimum qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Economics, Public Relations, or related field AND 3+ years integrated marketing (e.g., digital, relationship, social media, campaign), event management, marketing strategy, business planning, marketing operations, or related work experience OR equivalent experience.

Additional or preferred qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Economics, Public Relations, or related field AND 2+ years integrated marketing (e.g., digital, relationship, social media, campaign), event management, marketing strategy, business planning, marketing operations, or related experience OR Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Economics, Public Relations, or related field AND 5+ years integrated marketing (e.g., digital, relationship, social media, campaign), event management, marketing strategy, business planning, marketing operations, or related experience OR equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience managing complex, cross-functional delivery across design, engineering, content, analytics, and operational stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience creating operating rhythms, governance, and scalable processes that improve execution predictability and reduce friction.
  • Experience coordinating web launches, including dependency management, quality assurance (QA) readiness, publish planning, and post-launch monitoring routines.
  • Experience running localization programs at scale, coordinating assets, approvals, and release timing across multiple markets.
  • Experience partnering on compliance, privacy, and security requirements for digital experiences, including coordinating approvals, validations, or evidence gathering as part of release readiness.
  • Experience managing vendors or agencies, including capacity planning, performance evaluation, and budget visibility.
  • Experience supporting large-scale web programs with frequent releases, global stakeholder complexity, and high-visibility launches.
  • Experience building and implementing standardized launch toolkits (readiness checklists, QA sign-offs, tagging verification, rollback plans, monitoring routines, and governance gates).
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards and release governance practices for web properties.
  • Knowledge of privacy-by-design concepts (consent, data minimization, retention principles) and how they apply to tagging, experimentation, and personalization.
  • Knowledge of security fundamentals for web delivery (secure publishing practices, access controls, change management, incident response coordination).
