Job Description

The work location of this role is hybrid, meaning it will be performed both from home and from a LinkedIn office on select days, as determined by the business needs of the team.
This role will be based in Mountain View, California (strongly preferred) or New York
We have an exciting opportunity to join our Employee Communications team. The Senior Employee Communications Manager 2 for Product will be a business partner first and a communicator second. You’ll love working with executives, being a strong team player, and getting energized by being a part of a fast-moving, innovative organization. You’ll also be passionate about using your communications and storytelling skills to amplify our product stories, engage employees, support organizational change, and drive business results. The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for product development and a strong curiosity about how our teams build the largest professional platform in the world.
Responsibilities
Act as a strategic communications advisor to our Product senior leaders and other key Product partners, advising on communications strategy (including content, forums, and timing) to ensure team members are informed, inspired and empowered to help LinkedIn succeed
Build and execute global product communications strategies for major product launches that inform and inspire our global employee base across LinkedIn
Lead end-to-end employee communications for organizational changes, including partnering with HR and leadership to clarify strategy and rationale, and managing timing, sequencing, and delivery across channels
Collaborate with cross-functional partners to build communications plans that amplify our talent initiatives and reinforce our culture and values across our Product organization
Help develop, evolve, and maintain our digital communications channels for our Product organization
Provide onsite event production support for all hands meetings and other engagement events for our Product organization
Support a broad range of internal communications initiatives and events across the broader Employee Communications team
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
9 + years of experience in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or related experience, AND 3 years of experience in External Communications or Employee Communications OR Bachelor's Degree in Business, Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or related field AND minimum 6 years of experience in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or related experience, AND 3 years of experience in External Communications or Employee Communications.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience leading technology communications or strong familiarity with what’s happening in tech
Excellent writing and storytelling skills with the ability to translate complex technical information into words the average team member can understand.
Experience supporting organizational change and change management communications, including helping team members understand and navigate transitions
Strategic thinker with strong business acumen
Leadership agility and ability to advise and influence senior leaders on communications approach, messaging and tactics
Demonstrated ability to prioritize and thrive in a fast-paced environment
Entrepreneurial self-starter and problem solver who is comfortable with ambiguity
Curiosity and growth mindset around emerging technologies, especially AI tools
Working knowledge of Office 365 and how to use different applications to engage employees

The pay range for this role is $154,000-$242,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.
