Imagine what you could do here. At Apple, great ideas have a way of becoming outstanding products, services, and customer experiences very quickly. We believe that if you bring passion and dedication to your job, there's no telling what you could accomplish!
As a member of our Worldwide Product Marketing group, you'll represent customers and developers throughout the entire lifecycle from concept through development and launch of our core AI technologies and features. You'll develop and apply insights to help infuse innovative safety and policy considerations into our AI development process. Together with your partner teams, you'll work to build responsible, trustworthy AI experiences that excite the world.
At Apple, we combine product management and product marketing responsibilities into a single, cross-functional Product Management role that collaborates with design, engineering, finance, legal, marketing communications, public relations, market research, sales, and support for maximum impact across the organization.
Description
We are looking for a highly motivated Product/Senior Product Manager to help define the strategy and shape of AI safety and policy across Apple Foundation Models, Apple Intelligence, Siri, and our developer ecosystem AI features. This role sits at the intersection of AI product development and responsible innovation — ensuring that as Apple's AI technologies scale, they do so safely, transparently, and in alignment with evolving regulatory and societal expectations.
This role requires an excellent understanding of AI, models, and industry trends, paired with deep fluency in the safety, trust, and policy domain. You are comfortable with complex and ambiguous problems and situations, adept at identifying a project's risks — technical, ethical, and reputational — and hold a commitment to excellence in your work. You love using your creative and critical thinking to craft solutions for resolving them quickly. Working with multiple internal and external partners, including engineering, legal, policy, and PR, you are adept at quickly gaining their respect and support, and consistently demonstrate extraordinary marketing expertise, attention to detail, objectivity, and accountability.
Responsibilities
Help drive the strategy, definition, and launch of AI safety features, guardrails, and policy frameworks across Apple Foundation Models and Apple Intelligence experiences, as well as create incredible opportunities for developers and researchers to build on these technologies responsibly
Collaborate with engineering, research, and policy teams to define product roadmap and strategy for model safety, content moderation, misuse prevention, and responsible AI protections
Think strategically about how model and policy choices translate into and enhance everyday user trust and workflows
Deeply understand user feedback, competitive trends, emerging AI regulation, and the overall industry landscape to inform a well-developed perspective on safety solutions
Understand your product technologies several layers deep and be able to clearly communicate them with knowledgable insight
Play an instrumental role on the AI product marketing team by collaborating with engineering, design, and legal to investigate new concepts and ideas, and being the voice of the market and the public interest to Apple during the development phase
Position Apple's approach to AI safety and responsible AI in the competitive and regulatory landscape, and craft compelling key product messaging to build customer and developer trust
Craft product messaging briefs, guide marketing communications on the creation of launch materials, and act as a spokesperson in press briefings, public events, and policy forums
Serve as an ambassador for Apple through press briefings, customer visits, and industry/regulatory engagements to drive advocacy and trust for Apple's AI safety practices
Together with partner teams, deliver AI products that are safe, trustworthy, and enrich people's lives
Minimum Qualifications
6+ years of experience in product marketing and/or product management roles, including having led multiple safety/policy product development cycles from concept to launch
Hands-on experience formulating product messaging and creating outbound marketing for both technical and consumer audiences, and/or partnering with engineering and design during early research and development to define product strategy and roadmap
Recent experience within the last 3 years in one or more of the following segments: AI safety, trust and safety, AI policy/governance, policy, privacy, security, or adjacent
Deep collaboration skills, and the ability to build strong relationships with cross-functional teams across a wide range of focus areas, including legal and policy
Ability to drive communication with key stakeholders, the media, regulators, and the public, as demonstrated by exceptional presentation skills: developing keynote addresses in an area of subject matter expertise, synthesizing information, applying critical thinking, and maintaining composure under pressure
Preferred Qualifications
Deep understanding and passion for the AI landscape, models, training, and responsible/safe AI product experiences
Deep understanding of the AI safety and policy domain, including emerging regulatory frameworks, model risk, misuse vectors, and their impacts on users and society
Proven track record working collaboratively and effectively with engineering, design, legal, and marketing peers
Technical track record working closely with engineering and research teams on safety-critical systems
Strong ability to lead through influence, debate, and technical credibility, focusing on what's best for users, developers, and the entire technology stack

Best-in-class storytelling, presentation, and written communication skills
