Overview

The Microsoft 365 Messaging team builds and operates the trusted, secure, intelligent, and scalable messaging and notification platform that powers communication and collaboration across Microsoft 365. Our platform provides foundational messaging, conversation, notification, presence, and storage capabilities used by Microsoft Teams, Copilot, Outlook, ODSP, Dynamics, Intune and other Microsoft 365 experiences.

As a Senior Product Manager- M365 Messaging, you will define and deliver product investments that strengthen the shared messaging platform and enable new customer and partner scenarios. This is a high-impact role for a product leader who can connect platform strategy to execution, navigate technical tradeoffs, and build alignment across multiple organizations. You will help shape priorities, clarify requirements, manage dependencies, and drive measurable outcomes for services that operate at global scale.

Microsoft’s mission is to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more. As employees we come together with a growth mindset, innovate to empower others, and collaborate to realize our shared goals. Each day we build on our values of respect, integrity, and accountability to create a culture of inclusion where everyone can thrive at work and beyond.

  • Drive cross-organizational alignment on priorities, architecture decisions, dependencies, and adoption plans while influencing without direct authority.

  • Identify patterns across partner scenarios and guide teams toward common schemas, APIs, platform primitives, and service standards instead of one-off implementations.

  • Use data and customer signals to define goals and improve reliability, latency, quality, usage, cost efficiency, and operational health.

  • Champion enterprise trust by incorporating security, privacy, compliance, auditability, data lifecycle, and resiliency requirements into product plans.

  • Manage multi-team execution, surface risks early, and develop mitigation plans with engineering and product leaders.
