Position Responsibilities:
Oversee the design and continuous innovation of the rapidly expanding data center fleet. Work directly with the Construction, Operations, and Commissioning teams at the Data Centers within the assigned region to analyze problems with the existing fleet and implement solutions specific to the region and across the global fleet. Provide suggestions for improving the costs/performance/simplicity of the equipment. Work with both mechanical and electrical equipment and equipment designs related to data centers, including but not limited to: uninterruptable power sources, diesel generators, electrical switchgear, power distribution units, variable frequency drives, automatic/static transfer switches, chillers (air-cooled and water-cooled), pumps, cooling towers, heat exchangers, CRAHs, air economizers, etc. Troubleshoot problems and conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Corrective Action (CA) for design related problems.
Position Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field and three years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation. Must have three years of experience in the following skill(s): (1) developing or reviewing short circuit coordination study; (2) demonstrated understanding of the fundamentals of electrical machines, including generators, transformers, and electrical motors; (3) experience reading single lines and electrical drawings for power distribution; (4) demonstrated understanding of cable sizing and different types of electrical cables used for power distribution.
