Summary

Embedded within Apple's Security Engineering & Architecture (SEAR) organization, the Cryptographic Engineering team's mission is to deliver world-class cryptographic implementation and secure protocol engineering for products going in the hands of millions of customers! We are looking for an expert Cryptography Engineer with a strong software background, capable of implementing and crafting security countermeasures against side-channel and physical attacks for various algorithms.

Description

We provide the cryptographic foundations protecting user data and valuable assets across all products, including Mac, iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, and Apple TV. In this role there will be the opportunity to work on analyzing, proposing, and validating innovative cryptographic solutions for our applications.

Responsibilities

Work in an innovative environment: Have a real impact on Apple features and products Collaborate with a wide range of collaborators, from Silicon Engineering to Cloud services
Implement and review innovative algorithms and protocols on a wide range of architectures and embedded systems, design and implement side channel attack countermeasure, improve performance, formally prove the correctness of Apple cryptographic software
Work cooperatively with other teams in Apple on multi-functional technologies and initiatives to improve security
Evangelize and drive the adoption of these technologies across the organization

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $150,400 and $225,300, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
