AWS is growing very rapidly with hundreds of thousands of companies in over 190 countries on the platform. This growth is driving the need for an experienced people leader on the WW Channels and Alliances team to fill a high impact role.

AWS has a strong culture of data-driven decision-making; requiring timely, accurate, and actionable intelligence that delivers significant business value. We're looking for a hands-on and motivated leader who's passionate about using data to help us measure every area of the partner business and influence decision-making, while building and developing a high-performing team.

This position is part of the AWS Specialist and Partner Organization (ASP). Specialists own the end-to-end go-to-market strategy for their respective technology domains, providing the business and technical expertise to help our customers succeed. Partner teams own the strategy, recruiting, development, and growth of our key technology and consulting partners. Together they provide our customers with the expertise and scale needed to build innovative solutions for their most complex challenges.

In this role, the Sr. Mgr, WW Sales Strategy & Acceleration will lead a team responsible for working with the WW Channel teams to continuously evolve forecasting models, inspect historic results, and make business recommendations to senior management based on those analyses, all in an environment of rapid growth and increasing complexity. This will include working with the WW Revenue Operations team to develop, implement and manage the business processes, systems, reports and strategies that optimize business functions to meet organizational goals and initiatives.

Key job responsibilities
Reporting to the WW Head of Channel Sales, the Sr. Mgr, WW Sales Strategy & Acceleration will be responsible for attracting, developing, and retaining top talent while driving improvements to the reporting tools, methods, and processes utilized by the team to increase the availability and granularity of actionable data to AWS's management team. This position also manages the administration and execution of the team's goals, measurement of goal attainment, evolving and driving various sales processes involving alignment between multiple teams. This role will focus on providing operational insight to our businesses and our growth initiatives, supporting the Head of Channel Operations in day to day operational activities, and providing additional inquisitive insight to other Senior Management Team members as required based on strategic projects identified.

The ideal candidate will bring a strong track record of people leadership combined with the willingness to roll up their sleeves and work directly with models and data. You will be passionate about developing your team, detail-oriented, meticulous, and have excellent problem-solving abilities. You will be experienced at working with large data sets and the technical tools needed to work with them. You will have superb communication and stakeholder-relationship skills, analytic insight, and be a passionate advocate for your customers and your team to other internal stakeholders. Collaboration with Management in AWS Data Warehouse/Business Intelligence, Business Development, Finance, Marketing, Recruiting, and Compensation will be crucial to the effective execution of the responsibilities. You will drive towards simple, scalable solutions to difficult problems, have excellent project-management skills, and be able to communicate complex systematic results, both written and verbally, in a clear and easy-to-understand way.
