Senior Financial Analyst, AWS Supply Chain Operations Finance

We are seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join the Supply Chain Finance team. You should be passionate about producing financial analysis enabling management to make breakthrough decisions, drive cash flow, and ultimately delight our customers. This role will support critical forecasting processes for supply chain operations and drive strategic financial insights through data analysis. You should be comfortable with working with ambiguity, diving deep into detail, and be able to communicate the story behind the numbers effectively to both financial and non-financial audiences.

Key job responsibilities
- Prepare and present financial summaries and business insights to Business and Finance Management.
- Build out and enhance financial models, develop business insights and KPI dashboards, and lead ad-hoc analyses.
- Support long range strategic business planning.
- Work with big data and transforming it into insights and information.
- Lead automation efforts of critical processes.
- Confirming compliance with current contracts and controls, while developing new processes and controls to support the growing, global AWS business.
- Identifying and driving process improvements, including creation of standard and ad-hoc reports, tools and templates.
To support this rapidly growing business, you must be able to think strategically, perform dive deep analytics, and communicate effectively with internal and external senior leadership.

Basic Qualifications

- 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science), or Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance) experience
- 3+ years of contributing to cross-functional initiatives that drive financial performance and strategy experience
- 3+ years of dissecting financial data and identifying patterns that support business strategy experience

Preferred Qualifications

- 4+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
- MBA, or CPA
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
- Experience in forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis, and interpreting financial results

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
