Microsoft’s Cloud Operations & Innovation (CO+I) is the engine that powers our cloud services. As a Metro Construction EHS Manager, you will perform a key role in delivering the core infrastructure and foundation technologies for Microsoft's online services including Bing, Office 365, XBOX, OneDrive, plus the Microsoft Azure platform.

The Cloud Operations + Innovation (CO+I) business is critical to delivering on this mission and vision, building and operating Microsoft’s cloud infrastructure, which is growing rapidly in response to unprecedented demand for Microsoft services. CO+I operates one of the largest cloud networks on the planet – comprised of more than 160 Datacenters, 130+ edge sites, 2+ million miles of fiber, and millions of servers and network and storage devices. 

The Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) team is seeking a Metro Construction EHS Manager with the passion to drive value and consistency across complex supplier partnerships. Strong analytical skills, using data to design processes that scale, effective collaboration across internal and external stakeholders, and the drive to continuously improve and achieve business objectives will be critical to success in this role.

This position will support projects in San Jose, California 

Relocation assistance may be considered for this position.  The candidate selected for this role is expected to report to the San Jose project sites daily.  



Responsibilities

As a Metro Construction EHS Manager, some of the skills that will contribute to your success in meeting performance objectives include:

•    5+ years of progressive professional experience in Safety related positions is required, with demonstrated knowledge and experience controlling the broad spectrum of risks across multiple construction sites. 
•    Must have current working knowledge of U.S Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations, and other non-regulatory safety standards applicable to the location of operations. 

•    Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), Occupational Health and Safety Technologist (OHST), Construction Health and Safety Technologist (CHST) or other recognized industry professional certification.
•    Experience with developing and implementing organizational frameworks, standards, and processes.
•    Experience designing and deploying global health and safety programs. 
•    Demonstrated experience and success with delivering cross functional programs, including ownership, and driving results. 
•    Mission Critical project delivery

Environmental Health & Safety IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $97,600 - $188,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $125,000 - $206,400 per year.
