The Manager/Senior Manager, Sales & Leader Onboarding is responsible for the strategy, design, and continuous evolution of onboarding experiences for Data Foundation Sellers - including Account Executive and Sales Leaders. This role owns the end-to-end learner journey, ensuring new sellers and leaders build the skills, knowledge, and confidence needed to accelerate productivity and drive customer success.
As the strategic owner of these programs, this individual partners across Global Enablement, Product Marketing, Sales Strategy, Field Readiness, and Sales Leadership to align onboarding with business priorities, product evolution, and go-to-market strategy. Working closely with Onboarding Delivery Trainers, this role focuses on learning strategy, program innovation, stakeholder alignment, and measurable business outcomes.
Responsibilities
Program Strategy & Ownership
- Own the strategy, roadmap, and continuous improvement of AE and Sales Leader onboarding.
- Define onboarding standards, success metrics, and scalable learning experiences that reduce ramp time and improve seller productivity.
- Design leader onboarding that equips frontline managers to coach effectively, reinforce onboarding milestones, and drive team performance.
- Modernize onboarding through AI, automation, and innovative learning solutions
- Support Delivery of Onboarding Programs by delivering or facilitating onboarding sessions as needed
- Own the learning architecture and curriculum strategy for seller and leader onboarding.
- Ensure content reflects current messaging, products, sales motions, and customer buying behaviors.
- Lead certifications, skills assessments, and learner validation to measure readiness.
- Establish governance to maintain accurate, relevant, and scalable curriculum.
- Serve as the strategic enablement partner for AE and Sales Leadership.
- Build strong partnerships across Product Marketing, Sales Programs, Field Readiness, Sales Strategy, and executive stakeholders.
- Translate business priorities into scalable onboarding solutions and influence cross-functional alignment.
- Define KPIs and measure onboarding effectiveness through learner performance, certifications, ramp metrics, and business outcomes.
- Partner with Sales Strategy to analyze data, identify opportunities, and recommend program improvements.
- Present onboarding insights and strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
- Partner with Field Enablement Business Partners to design targeted onboarding, reboarding, and role-transition experiences.
- Ensure Commercial, Enterprise, and Sales Leaders receive timely enablement aligned to evolving business priorities.
