You will work at the intersection of software engineering, artificial intelligence, cloud platforms, workflow automation, and enterprise transformation.
You will partner with product managers, data scientists, architects, legal and compliance professionals, support organizations, and business stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable platforms that automate complex work and enable AI-powered and agentic experiences. Solutions may include reusable AI services and orchestration frameworks; cloud-native applications, APIs, microservices, and event-driven systems; and integrations with Microsoft 365 Copilot, Teams, Power Platform, Azure, Dynamics 365, Dataverse, Microsoft Fabric, Microsoft Purview, AI Machine Learning and other enterprise services.
This opportunity offers hands-on experience building production-grade platforms with high-trust security and compliance requirements, live-site and quality-of-service rigor, and an AI-first mindset. You will help transform traditional processes into proactive, self-service, data-driven experiences while advancing Microsoft’s Digital First strategy, employee productivity, and business outcomes at global scale.

Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and operate scalable software solutions that use large language models, AI agents, orchestration frameworks, enterprise data platforms, and modern application technologies.
- Build intelligent agents, copilots, and automation that can reason, plan, and take action across enterprise systems, including document processing, decision flows, user interactions, employee support, knowledge management, procurement, compliance, legal operations, and other business processes.
- Lead or contribute to system design, technical specifications, architecture standards, engineering roadmaps, and design reviews; identify dependencies and align solutions with platform, security, privacy, accessibility, governance, and compliance requirements.
- Create reusable platforms, frameworks, components, and services that accelerate the development and deployment of intelligent solutions across multiple business domains.
- Design and implement cloud-native, API-first architectures using Azure services, microservices, distributed and event-driven patterns, real-time data processing, and resilient enterprise integration approaches.
- Translate ambiguous business and user requirements into scalable technical solutions with measurable impact; identify high-value automation opportunities in partnership with product, legal, support, operations, and engineering stakeholders.
- Implement high-quality, maintainable code; reuse and extend existing components where appropriate; and drive engineering excellence through code reviews, automated testing, CI/CD, and AI-assisted development practices.
- Build evaluation frameworks, observability and telemetry, monitoring, analytics, and quality measurement systems for AI, agentic, and enterprise platforms to improve reliability, safety, performance, and business impact.
- Serve as a Designated Responsible Individual for services as needed, monitoring system health, responding to incidents, and ensuring availability, scalability, quality of service, and operational readiness.
- Break complex initiatives into manageable tasks, contribute to sprint and release planning, provide effort estimates, and own delivery from architecture and implementation through deployment, operations, and continuous improvement.
- Partner with security, privacy, compliance, responsible AI, and governance teams to ensure solutions meet enterprise standards and high-trust requirements.
- Evaluate emerging AI, cloud, platform, and automation technologies; apply relevant advancements to improve productivity, user experience, code quality, testing, delivery velocity, and future platform investments.
- Strengthen engineering culture through mentoring, technical leadership, architecture discussions, knowledge sharing, and adoption of modern engineering and operational practices.
In addition to the responsibilities above, candidates at the Senior Software Engineer level are expected to:
- Define and drive technical strategy, architecture standards, and engineering roadmaps for next-generation AI-powered systems
- Lead the design and architecture of enterprise-scale AI, agentic, and automation platforms that drive measurable business outcomes.
- Own end-to-end delivery from architecture and design through deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement.
