Summary

Creator Studio is bringing agentic intelligence to Apple's professional creative applications — helping people accomplish sophisticated creative work in concert with deep machine intelligence, with their own vision always in the lead. The work has broad and meaningful impact: what we build lifts a whole family of professional creative apps at once. We're an established team that is growing, and we're looking for passionate and skilled engineers who want to do the best work of their careers on a highly visible, highly impactful product. You'll go beyond code to shape the experience itself, working alongside human interface designers, quality teams, the teams behind our creative apps, and cross-functional engineering.

Description

The Creator Studio team is seeking a Software Engineer to help design and build the features that bring agentic intelligence to our creative applications. You'll turn frontier AI capabilities into real product: the agent tooling, app integrations, and experiences that complement people's creative intent and vision.

The best creative tools make a person more capable, not less involved; they are a lever for creators to iterate faster, explore further, and realize their ideas. We are building assistance that enhances what people can already do and helps them reach their potential. Getting that balance right is a product problem as much as an engineering one, and it is at the heart of this role.

Responsibilities

Design and build the capabilities that bring agentic assistance to Apple's creative applications: the harness, tooling, and skills that help users translate intent and curiosity into action and insight.
Balance rapid prototyping of new user experiences with maturing ideas into production-ready capability. Iterate from a rough demo to reliable shipping quality.
Partner with designers, ML engineers, the teams behind our creative apps, and creative-domain experts to shape both the capability and the experience.
Help establish and define what it means to develop quality software in an evolving landscape of human/machine teaming.

Minimum Qualifications

2+ years developing and shipping production-quality code, or equivalent demonstrated experience. Your code is reliable, maintainable, and well-tested.
Proficiency in a modern programming language (Swift, Objective-C, or similar) and a willingness to work across the app stack.
A strong product sense and curiosity about creative workflows.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and to communicate clearly across disciplines.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent depth through professional experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Deep, hands-on experience as a professional or power user of creative tools — DAWs, NLEs, image editors, office productivity apps, or design suites. You know these workflows from the inside, and you have a point of view about what helps a creator and what gets in the way. Experience with Apple's own creative apps is not required.
Background that blends technical skill with creative-domain expertise. We welcome candidates with non-traditional backgrounds: product insight and judgment can matter as much as a conventional Computer Science background.
Hands-on experience integrating LLMs or building agent harnesses.
Experience with Swift and Apple platforms (iOS/macOS), including system frameworks and performant, correct, concurrent code.
