Role Summary
Amazon MGM Studios is seeking a Sr. Sustainability Strategy Manager for Amazon's Studio Strategy and Operations team. Key job responsibilities
Sustainability R&D Fund Management
- Manage the Sustainability R&D fund, determining spend allocation by technology type, production, and region
- Identify and evaluate nascent sustainable technologies for testing on productions globally
- Engage with promising vendors and manage successful deployment of innovative solutions
- Conduct comprehensive data analyses and cost-benefit assessments of trials to determine long-term viability and ROI
- Build business cases for scaling sustainable technology solutions across the production portfolio
Strategic Investment & Scaling
- Develop and execute a sustainability investment strategy aligned with Amazon's Climate Pledge commitments
- Think strategically about scaling sustainability solutions globally, from pilot to enterprise deployment
- Evaluate and recommend small and large-scale technology investments (e.g., batteries, electric vehicles, renewable energy systems) for production use
- Drive adoption of sustainable solutions in a cost-effective manner compared to standard rental and procurement models
- Partner with procurement and finance teams to optimize total cost of ownership for sustainable alternatives
Facilities & Infrastructure Leadership
- Oversee sustainability strategy and implementation at owned and leased production stages globally
- Collaborate with design, construction, and project management teams to implement electrification of systems, EV deployment, and low-carbon material specifications
- Drive innovation in self-sustaining power solutions and renewable energy integration
- Establish sustainability standards and best practices for future studio developments
Industry Leadership & Innovation
- Partner with creative, production, finance, and operations teams to integrate sustainability into existing workflows
- Influence senior leadership through data-driven insights and compelling business cases
- Partner with Amazon’s Climate Pledge fund to source emerging tech relevant to studios.
- Identify emerging trends and technologies that could transform studio sustainability
About the team
This role sits on Amazon's Studio Strategy and Operations team, which drives the long-term operational strategy of the Studio. We identify opportunities to deliver the creative scope and vision of our slate with increasing efficiency. We also manage key operational programs for the studio (including sustainability).

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
