Description
We are looking for an experienced Program Manager to own the planning, scheduling, communications, and reporting backbone of Apple's global data privacy compliance initiatives. This role sits at the intersection of program governance, execution readiness, and stakeholder communications — ensuring the program operates with clarity, pace, and accountability at every level, from working teams through to senior leadership. The ideal candidate translates complex regulatory and cross-functional requirements into structured plans, schedules, and reporting that keep a high-stakes compliance program moving with precision.
This role owns four core areas of responsibility:
Program Planning & Schedule Management:
Readiness & Execution Management
Communication and Reporting
Program Tools, Standards, and Frameworks
Responsibilities
Own the cross functional program scope, schedule, cross-workstream dependency management, and program workstream readiness tracking.
In partnership with the Organizational Change Management track, Own program communications infrastructure including status reports and executive dashboards
Establish and maintain a single source of truth for program status, risks, and decisions that includes portfolio-level reporting and cross-program impact assessments.
Ability to coordinate cross-functional execution of data privacy initiatives including the proactive identification to resolve schedule gaps and critical path risks
Train and mentor program team members on delivery best practices
Step into critical program delivery roles under pressure when needed
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required (Master's preferred) in Business, Information Systems, Law, or a related field
5+ years of experience in cross-functional program or portfolio management, ideally within a highly regulated, compliance-driven environment
Demonstrated expertise in readiness management, scope management, scheduling, resource planning, and execution governance across large-scale, global multi-stakeholder programs
Experience building and owning program reporting infrastructure: dashboards, weekly status reports, risk logs, and executive briefings
Strong understanding of data privacy regulations (e.g. GDPR, PIPL, CCPA) along with the operational and systems implications to ensure compliance, then translate regulatory or legal requirements into system and process requirements that technical and business teams can deliver
Exceptional communication skills — verbal, written, and executive presentation — with the ability to synthesize complexity for senior leadership audiences
Preferred Qualifications
Comfortable operating in a fast changing highly ambiguous environment where multiple priorities need to be managed; able to bring structure and clarity where none exists while keeping on track
Experience with macOS tools (Keynote, Pages, etc) and enterprise program management tools (e.g. Wrike, Jira, Smartsheet) within IS&T delivery models
Able to operate independently with conviction, influence without authority, and drive cross-functional teams to the right decisions with speed and precision
Ability to drive business transformation with systems architecture, operating model design, and organizational change management
Brings a collaborative, service-oriented mindset — ensuring Legal and Privacy teams remain the authoritative decision-makers while the PMO enables clarity, pace, and accountability across the program
