Financial insights and metrics drive the AWS business. Every pricing decision, cost allocation, and investment trade-off depends on the quality of analytical capabilities available to finance leaders making high-velocity, high-impact decisions under pressurized time frames. This Sr. Manager will own the product strategy that ensures AWS Finance has the best analytical capabilities in the industry.
This role sits at the intersection of product leadership, technical depth, and financial domain expertise. You will define the vision and roadmap for products that deliver actionable financial insights to the global AWS organization, from individual service teams to L10+ executives. You will build and lead a high-performing team of Product Managers who translate complex financial domain knowledge into products that measurably improve how AWS understands and manages its cost structure, revenue mechanics, and operational efficiency.
What You Will Do
You will own the end-to-end product strategy for financial analytics and reporting capabilities that serve multiple layers of the AWS organization. This means developing deep expertise in AWS costing, financial operations, and the unique mechanics of how AWS runs its business, then connecting that knowledge to product decisions that drive real finance and business outcomes.
You will operate as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, building credibility through subject matter depth and the ability to frame product decisions within the broader context of AWS financial outcomes. You will influence without authority at the highest levels of the organization, driving alignment on ambiguous, high-impact initiatives. You will partner closely with engineering, design, operations, and finance teams to define, execute, and deliver products that automate complex reporting and analysis for a fast-growing, increasingly complex global organization.
You will build the team alongside the products. This means setting the bar for product management excellence, developing talent, and creating an environment where PMs build deep domain expertise and deliver with speed and precision.
What We Are Looking For
We are looking for a leader who connects the dots between Finance best practices, AWS business mechanics, and the products their team builds. Someone who can define long-term strategy while maintaining rigorous command of day-to-day execution and prioritization. Someone who thrives in ambiguity, builds expertise rapidly in complex technical and financial domains, and translates that expertise into clear product vision.
The ideal candidate brings deep technical acumen, proven product management excellence, and strong people leadership. They have a track record of delivering products that measurably improve business decision-making. They are a self-starter who takes ownership, drives positive change, and leads by example. They are inherently cross-functional, comfortable operating across engineering, finance, and executive stakeholders with equal fluency.
This role demands someone who can think strategically about how financial systems must evolve to support a business growing in scale and complexity, while simultaneously ensuring their team ships the right things at the right time with the right quality.
