You’ll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You’ll collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers. The Generation Service Technician has safety, customer satisfaction, and business responsibilities within data center operations. The person in this role is responsible for identifying, troubleshooting, diagnosing and providing quality repairs of electrical generator systems and related engine mechanical failures. As both a technical expert and primary customer support liaison, the Generator Service Technician is responsible for maintaining consistent communication with clients to ensure an exceptional customer experience while maximizing data center availability. All necessary tools and equipment will be provided by AWS.




Key job responsibilities
* Adhere to and promote all company safety protocols, maintaining a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment.
* Actively engage in accident prevention initiatives and contribute to ongoing safety improvement efforts to foster a culture of workplace safety
* Travel within an assigned region to designated sites and perform professional quality field service repairs consistent with company standards
* Keep Generator Service Manager continually apprised of current priorities to assist in answering customer questions and problems when necessary
* Action requests for procurement of needed materials to perform assigned duties
* Document detailed, complete and correct descriptions of all repair operations performed and Load Bank gens
* Accurately record time, expenses, and mileage
* Lift up to 40 lbs; pushing and pulling a maximum force of 40 lbs
* Wear all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required and provided by AWS
*Must have or be able to obtain and maintain a DOT Medical Card upon hiring.
