Microsoft is looking for an experienced, innovative, and customer focused Senior Sourcing Engineer to join the Strategic Sourcing team, responsible for driving the Silicon strategy and performance to achieve the financial and business targets for Xbox and Surface Hardware.

Responsibilities
- Own the supply chain and sourcing activities for Microsoft Devices Chipset including negotiating commercial agreements, negotiating cost, optimizing the collaboration between the teams and developing long term strategy to grow a robust partnership.
- Engage with cross-functional leadership including architecture, engineering, product management, and business teams to determine best design solution and supply base to deliver that solution at optimal supply chain and cost.
- Manage contracting activities with Legal and ensure contracts reflect appropriate business terms, IP protection, etc.
- Cost and operations management: Build multi-sourcing strategies to mitigate risk and drive appropriate competition.
- Analyze the overall supply chain to identify risk and drive resolution to systemic issues affecting quality, cost, delivery or lead-times.
- Provide thought leadership and manage strategic initiatives with internal stakeholders and suppliers to support Microsoft Devices objectives and strategies.
- Manages the supplier relationship, leading and coordinating efforts to drive supplier performance improvement across all areas of the business.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Materials Science, or related field AND 3+ years experience in procurement, supply chain, sourcing, engineering, operations, or relevant sales-related roles.
- OR Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Materials Science, or related field AND 4+ years experience in procurement, supply chain, sourcing, engineering, operations, or relevant sales-related roles.
- OR equivalent experience.

Sourcing Engineering IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $119,800 - $234,700 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $160,200 - $261,000 per year.
