Amazon's Worldwide Grocery Retail Growth & Development (WWRGD) team is seeking an innovative Sr. Concept Designer to implement and customize programmatic brand design standards as they translate into physical grocery stores and retail.

In this role, you will collaborate with internal cross-functional teams to develop physical retail store concepts. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment and has a deep passion for innovative retail design. They possess the ability to complete complex tasks and projects quickly with little to no guidance, react with appropriate urgency to situations that require a quick turnaround, take effective action without needing to know the total picture. We are looking for someone who is obsessed with creating world-class shopping experiences for our customers both the micro and macro level and exhibits excellent project management and communication skills, both written and verbal.

Key job responsibilities
- Translate design standards into store concepts in an innovative yet fiscally responsible way.
- Drive and creates program documentation, standards and design modules through Revit and other production software.
- Manage projects with high levels of ambiguity.
- Work upstream of the store design team to develop viable concepts and solutions.
- Solve highly ambiguous problem areas in existing retail initiatives while delivering simple and delightful shopping solutions to customers.
- Build design solutions with minimal guidance from others.
- Translate Marketing, Operations, and User Experience requirements into cohesive design solutions.
- Drive the concept design process and work with key internal and external stakeholders in the production of comprehensive drawing packages, shop drawings, specifications, prototypes and first articles.
- Write program documents that drive new innovations, outline testing/analysis to inform design decisions, or define standards and processes.
- Document and disseminate information about key learnings and best practices to team members.
- Coordinate with category, food safety, operations and tech teams to gather and document performance requirements and gain approvals.
- Create presentation packages as needed to communicate design and conducts design review meetings with cross-functional teams and senior leadership for design concepts.
- Coordinate with Construction team on budget considerations and value engineering as required.
- Articulate design trade-offs for implementing a design and shares with design team for implementation.
- Suggest alternative design approaches based on industry standards, knowledge of color, material, finish, operational, and procurement capabilities.
- Demonstrate willingness to be flexible and adaptable to changing work environment and deals effectively with varying workload requirements; can shift gears comfortably, manages competing demands, delays or unexpected events.

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
