Key job responsibilities
As a Principal Product Manager on the Merch on Demand team, you will have a unique opportunity to shape the development of our services. You will be chartered with creating and operating systems that cover an end-to-end global create-on-demand business at Amazon scale. Your scope will cover Content Creation, Catalog Selection and Content Moderation, Shopping Experiences, Fulfillment technology, and Applied Science and Data Insights. As part of the Amazon Consumer organization, you will have the opportunity to influence the broader strategy for Amazon for on-demand products.


A day in the life
• Serve as a Product lead on complex, impactful, and cross-functional projects.
• Functionally decompose complex problems into simple, straight-forward solutions.
• Fully and completely understand system interdependencies and limitations.
• Driving ideation and management of a portfolio of experiments, some that span multiple teams and shopping experiences, and some that dive deep in one CX area.
• Leveraging your high judgment to prioritize opportunities that drive the most strategic value; working with design teams to scope design effort, set/track goals and triage priorities across product/engineering teams.
• Utilizing your varied background and skillsets to dive deep with designers on UX decisions and drive technical conversations with engineering partners to create roadmap planning.
• Developing and driving mechanisms with senior leaders on the progress of the CX work and areas where support is needed.

You are a leader, builder, and operator. You have experience leading or contributing to multiple simultaneous product development efforts and/or projects and initiatives. You’ll strive for simplicity and will demonstrate significant creativity.

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
