Description

The AIML Data Operations organization delivers high-quality, human-annotated machine learning data at scale to product teams across Apple. We are both a global operations engineering team and a trusted partner in the development of Apple’s consumer software experiences and hardware products. Our work directly contributes to experiences across Apple, like Apple Intelligence, Siri, Vision Pro, and more.

Our engineering team delivers custom, internal software solutions that accelerate the collection and delivery of machine learning data. Our data collection clients include multiple Swift and web applications backed by cloud-based web services. We design, build and operate large-scale distributed data-processing pipelines.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
10+ years of progressive experience in designing, building, testing, debugging, and operating production-grade software systems including meaningful contributions in one or more of the following:

iOS or Android applications backed by cloud-based services
Robust web applications and supporting APIs
Scalable, cloud-based data-processing pipelines
Experience with designing complex software systems, including applied knowledge of data structures, algorithms, design patterns, concurrency, multi-threading, and scalability principles.

Track record of leading and delivering complex software development assignments that require creativity, navigating ambiguity and applying analytical and problem-solving skills.
Exceptional collaboration, interpersonal, and technical communication skills, capable of influencing and driving technical outcomes across diverse, multi-disciplinary teams.
Demonstrated expertise in a modern, compiled, object-oriented language such as Swift, Objective-C, Go, C++, or Java.

Pay & Benefits — Cupertino, California, United States

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $216,200 and $324,800, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
